Polianthes Tuberosa (Rajnigandha)

Polianthes Tuberosa, commonly known as rajnigandha, is an old favourite producing clusters of fragrant waxy single or double white flowers on elongated spikes in late Summer over a long period. The tuberosa available here are double white flowering. Traditionally used in wedding bouquets and also ideal cut flower. Plant in a garden where the fragrance can be appreciated in full sun or semi shade. They have bright green foliage and whilst deciduous they are frost tender so plant in a cool to tropical climate. They are hardy and drought tolerant. They are supplied as unflowered bulbs about 1.5cm by 0.5cm. They may have foliage and roots depending upon the time of year purchased.
