Product Description

Tulbaghia 'Fairy Star' is a narrow leaved Tulbaghia - easy and adaptable, with with umbels packed with starry lilac flowers that are produced from spring to autumn on 40cm stems- just remove flowered stems at the base as they finish to keep the display going. The flowers are around half the size of Tulbaghia violacea. At the base there are semi-evergreen narrow, fleshy leaves that ommit an garlic fragrance when crushed. Excellent in small containers of a sunny, sheltered border & a good plant for coastal gardens.   The price is per bulb.

  1. Great small Tulbaghia

Great plant, I've found it smaller than your standard violacea so best to plant away from them so they do not get lost.

  2. pretty and drought tolerant addition to the garden

Purchased mine in Spring and they survived being transported in warm weather well. It took them a couple of weeks to fully recover from the trip and to look truly healthy in the garden. They flowered through summer and are still flowering now (5 months later). They are a pretty flower with dainty grass-like foliage and look great in a cottage garden.
