Collection: Interspecific Clivia

These are crosses between different species of clivia. We have in the ppast worked extensively with Nobilis, Oz Nobilis, Caulscens, Gardenii, Miniata and various interspecific clivia to create new versions. The plants being offered are offsets to original creations.

The coloration of the flowers of many interspecifics are light intensity sensative. Oz Nobilis, for example, can flower yellow if the light intensity is low; peachy yellow on medium light intensity; and dark orange on high light intensity. In addition the colours of the flowers change as the flowers age. Many "green" flowers quickly change to yellow and yellow flowers can change to orange as the flowers age.
