Only our best pastels, either crossed with other pastels or peaches are used to create these pastels. This combination may produce higher percentages of pastels than orange and other types. Pastel clivia are rarer than oranges, peaches and yellows as they are very difficult to breed for. They will flower when they have 12 to 14 leaves, usually at around 4 to 5 years of age. A picture of a pastel derived from a peach cross is shown for illustrative purposes.
