Description:

Agapanthus inapertus subsp pendulus is relatively rare and has unusual yellow green leaves with a purple base. Leaves up to 35cm long.  It is semi-deciduous.

Flowers:

Pendulous flowers that are spectacular dark blue to violet blue on long stems to 1.5 to 2m. high.

Uses:

Ideal for borders around gardens or driveways.

Growing Guide:

Prefers a full sun to semi-shaded location.  An easy to grow hardy plant that thrives in most conditions and requires minimum maintenance.  

Companion planting:

A great companion agapanthus planted behind other agapanthus like Queen Mum, Cloudy Days and Black Magic for impact. 

Problems:

It is very hardy with few problems encountered but poor drainage may rot the root system.

    I was looking for something different to your usual aggie, and was so pleased to find this one. I pick up quite a few so I have a "wow" statement sooner rather than later. Should be a talking point with the locals in summer.
