Novelty Clivia Crosses

A number of new flower types have emerged in recent years, including bleached tepals and splash flowers to name just a few.  Please note that the outcome of these crosses is not known.  It is also not known the extent to which novelty characteristics is dominant or recessive. The price reflects more the very limited quantity of seedlings available rather than the potential outcome of the crosses.

PMN Day Lily x AUNCRE05005 4 to 5 leaves

PMN Day Lily x AUNCRE05005 4 to 5 leaves

These seedlings have four to five leaves and are a cross between PMN Day Lily and AUNCRE05005 and are about 2 years old.  They are shown in 175mm pots. Day Lily was named so because the flowers go through pronounced multi coloured stages as the flowers mature. Its pod parent was a split for yellow.  Unfortunately it does not flower very often and is slow to offset.  It first flowered about 6 years ago and this year we expect some more of its seedlings to flower.  The flower outcome of this cross is not known. Pictures of the parent plants are shown -
