![]() Pine Mountain Nursery Current Category Pastels can come in a range of colour variations from pink pastels to orange/yellow pastels. Unfortunately there is no exact science to breeding pastels and plants that flower pastel shades usually command higher prices than the creams or yellows due to their scarcity. We have found crossing a pastel clivia over a cream or yellow will produce a high incidence of orange flowering progeny. There is a higher probability of getting a pastel by crossing a pastel flowering clivia over another pastel. In the gallery section are some pictures of some crosses that have flowered for us. Please remember that as they are seed based so a range of seedling types are possible, some may be similar to original parent plants whilst others can be quite different. These seedlings have three to four leaves and were created crossing a pastel clivia over another pastel clivia. It is not known what percentage of these seedlings will flower pastel as opposed to orange but a higher percentage are expected to flower pastel rather than orange. Price:
