Variegated clivias are becoming increasingly popular. Prices for variegated clivia differ depending on age, level of leaf variegation and stability of variegation pattern. From our limited experience in germinating over 5,000 seeds from various variegated plants, only about 30% of seed will yield variegated seedlings. It is about a 1 in 30 chance of getting a plant with exceptional variegation. Exceptional variegated plants command high prices in many countries. Some of our mature variegates have fetched prices over $500 per plant. Our collection comprises: We are now breeding triploid striata variegates and these will be released in flower in 2012!
