Interspecific clivia are crosses between the four species of clivia - caulscens, gardenii, miniata and nobilis. These crosses can produce some ordinary looking flowers on the first cross but often when selfed or crossed again they can produce some beautiful flowers and colours. In the gallery section are some pictures of some crosses that have flowered for us. Please remember that as they are interspecific and seed based so a range of seedling types are possible, some may be similar to original parent plants (eg caulescen, gardenii, nobilis, miniata) whilst others can be quite different.
These clivia seedlings are about one year old and have two to three leaves and are a cross between a Yellow flowering miniata and an interspecific (Nobilis Apricot x Yellow). These seedlings are pigmented. A picture of the Nobilis Apricot x Yellow is shown below for illustrative purposes. Expect a range of flower types and colours. Limit of one per customer. Price:
