Daylilies are a ancient plant from Asia.  It probably had its origins in China.  Pine Mountain Nursery has been hybridising daylilies for many years.  These are usually offered for sale in flower in November each year.  In addition we stock a number of named cultivars, both miniature and large.

Daylilies will grow in dry, well drained and even boggy positions.  They can tolerate a range of soil types (light to heavy soils) and pH and environmental circumstances including frost, high winds and salt spray.  Whilst they will grow in full sun or part shade they need some sun to flower well. To get the best out of your daylilies we would recommend the incorporation of compost into well draining soil plus the addition of a complete slow release fertiliser mixed thoroughly into the soil as per manufacturer's instructions.
