Pastel flowering clivia are difficult to breed for and good flowering pastels are still very rare and very expensive. We have found from experience that crossing a pastel with another pastel can create the following outcomes:

• unpigmeted seedlings which generally flower yellow; and 
• pigmented seedlings which flower pastel or varying shades of orange.  

We have created some beautiful and exceptional pastel shades from these crosses but as stated above such outcomes are rare.  The plants sold under this category all have pigmented bases.
